Aerial Imagery Map

A custom (site-centred) PDF map produced using aerial Imagery at 25cm to 1m resolutions from Tailte Éireann and DigitalGlobe.

Tailte Éireann The orthorectification process removes distortions caused by camera tilt and lens distortion, to produce a scale accurate image. This product consists of colour aerial photography, flown in 3 series, between 2000 and 2012, producing a photo scale of circa 1:40,000. The earlier black and white aerial photography was flown between April and July 1995. The orthophotography gives full coverage of the Republic of Ireland.

 DigitalGlobe’s Precision Aerial product is available for 100% of the State at 30cm resolution. This level of detail ensures striking clarity and high precision for the user and gives customers of Tailte Éireann a product that is produced from imagery captured between July 2011 and Oct 2013. The data is also compatible with existing Tailte Éireann map products and comes complete with detailed Metadata (technical data about the imagery).
