Planning Pack

Large Scale Mapping is required by your Local Authority when applying for planning permission. To assist our customers with their planning application process Tailte Éireann provides Planning Packs to meet their Local Planning Authorities needs (please first check with your Local Planning Authority for their specific requirements). This product is not suitable for other use such as Land Registry. A separate Land Registry product is available for this purpose. Planning Packs are available in Paper (PDF) or Digital formats (DWG).  PDF files are intended for print only purposes and can be opened by Adobe Acrobat Reader or any other quality read-only PDF software program. DWG files can be opened by Autodesk CAD software or any other quality DWG software program.

The A3 or A4 extract is centred on a set of ITM coordinates, an Eircode, or customer--guided screen selection, centred on the customer’s Area of Interest.

 A Planning Pack contains two Maps depicting the same Area of Interest; one Urban (scale 1;1000) OR Rural (1;2500) Place Map  plus one Record Place Map (scale 1;10560).

 COMPONENT A:   An Urban/Rural Place Map at either 1:1000 or 1:2500 Scale

• Map Extract showing most up to date detail, centred on the Customer’s Area of Interest.

 COMPONENT B:  A Six-Inch (6”) Record Place Map at a Scale of 1:10,560

• Map Extract showing an Overview from the Last Historic Edition of the same Area of Interest.

• Provides identification of Townland and adjoining Townland locations

 PLEASE NOTE: The specific requirements in relation to the number and type of mapping required varies for one Local Authority to another. BEFORE PURCHASING A PLANNING PACK YOU MUST CHECK WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM YOUR LOCAL PLANNING AUTHORITY
